![]() | Jansz Tasmania Vintage Cuvée 1999Throughout 1999/2000 growing season a warm, dry December and January provided the perfect conditions for fruit set. Chardonnay in the Jansz Tasmania vineyard performed extremely well, with perfect fruit balance at harvest. Both Chardonnay and Pinot Noir produced intense fruit flavours with ideal sparkling characteristics. Individually selected vineyard batches were kept separate in their yeast lees to gain complexity until assemblage in September/October 1999. The base wines underwent malolactic fermentation to give distinctive creaminess. Reserve wines which were aged in old oak were used in assemblage to add extra dimensions and layers of flavours. The wines were aged in tirage for 3 years before the first disgorgement. Tasting Note |Press |Show Results Other Vintages |
