![]() | Jansz Tasmania Vintage Cuvée 19971997 was an excellent vintage with low yielding, dry, cool conditions - ideal for Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. A cool, wet spring followed by warmer dry weather from Christmas, led to restrained berry size and great concentration of flavour. Premium fruit was picked at its peak before autumn rains began in late April. Individually selected vineyard batches were kept separate on their yeast lees to gain complexity until assemblage. The base wines underwent malolactic fermentation to give distinctive creaminess. Reserve wines aged in old oak were used in assemblage to add extra dimensions and layers of flavour. The wines were aged in tirage for 4 years before the first disgorgement. Tasting Note |Press |Show Results Other Vintages |
